Pumpkin Pie

I love Thanksgiving and all the pumpkin goodness surrounding it (don’t believe me click Here or Here)

So today I wanted to make a tribute to the father recipe of pumpkin dessert…pumpkin pie.

I know there are so many recipes for pumpkin pie and I’m not here to give you another crazy concoction with a huge list of ingredients.

I am going to give you the simple, easy, and PERFECT pumpkin pie recipe.

2 C pumpkin puree
3 eggs
1 egg yolk
1/2 C white sugar
1/2 C brown sugar
1 Tsp salt
1 3/4 Tsp pumpkin spice (1/2 Tsp cinnamon, 1/2 Tsp nutmeg, 1/2 Tsp ginger, 1/4 Tsp cloves)
1 1/2 C milk

Preheat oven to 350 F

In a large bowl combine eggs, yolk, sugars, salt, pumpkin spice.

Then add milk and pumpkin.

Pour into pie shell. Bake for about 60 minutes and test it by putting knife in the pie and if it comes out clean it is done.
